In this project we aim to develop novel biosensors for the rapid assessment of effects of nanomaterials. There is a Millipore water purification system procured from Germany and other general equipment required for routine nanomaterial synthesis and molecular biology experiments. Scientists build contact lens displays with nanomaterials. (b) Explain in detail drug delivery by nanoparticles. Similarly, nanomaterials have number of features that make them ideally suited for sensor applications, such as, its high surface area, high reactivity, easy dispersability and rapid fabrication. Biosensor Nanomaterials Focusing on the materials suitable for biosensor applications, such as nanoparticles, quantum dots, meso- and nanoporous materials. (b) Write a note on sol gel process of nanomaterial synthesis. Distinguish between quantum dots and quantum wires. Nanotechnology could help create new drugs, deliver medicine and develop disease-detecting biosensors. (c) Draw and explain nucleation and growth curve. 2 (a) Distinguish between semiconductor nanoparticles and metal 3 (a) Explain how fluorescent nanoparticles are used in biosensors and biolabelling? Targeted drug delivery, in situ tumor treatment, and mobile biosensors are the bionanomaterials developments considered. It's also easier to make and use than other nanomaterials, such as carbon nanotubes. Three application developments are considered for each nano-materials area. Biosensor Lab Inauguration Helping mitigate some of the most common ailments of these modern times, including diabetes and cardiovascular disease, is the recently inaugurated Amrita Biosensor Research Lab at the Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore. Sebyung 16.40-17.00 “Carbohydrate conjugated Nanomaterials” 11.20-11.40 “Microfabrication Technology for Biosensor Devices”. 13.20-13:40 “Bio-inspired Nanomaterials Synthesis and Nanostructure Formation”.
