In 1801, Gauss published a book “Disquisitiones arithmeticae”, which it also systematized the study of number theory, and also provided proof for the above mentioned theorem. 23rd Feb, 1855, Carl Friedrich Gauss, Called the "Prince of Mathematics". It marked the beginning of modern number theory. From that point on he turned to other endeavors. Grootendorst (Author), Arthur A. Gauss's Disquisitiones Arithmeticae is a classic work in the history of number theory. Also, he was credited for proving the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, a theorem which many mathematicians have tried proving throughout history. Gauss was pretty much the Lord of Number Theory by the time he published Disquisitiones Arithmeticae, at the tender age of 21. He published the book Disquisitiones Arithmeticae in the summer of 1801. His popular works include the Disquisitiones Arithmeticae, which is probably the greatest book on pure mathematics. Disquisitiones Arithmeticae (Hardcover) by Carl F. Disquisitiones.Arithmeticae.pdf. He discovered the asteroid Ceres by developing a way to calculate astronomical numbers to determine its orbit. After publishing Disquisitiones Arithmeticae, Gauss became interested in astronomy. He published the Disquisitiones Arithmeticae at age 24. Gauß hat sich zurückgezogen, sein Meisterwerk "Disquisitiones Arithmeticae" war zu revolutionär, als dass es die Zeitgenossen verstehen könnten. There were seven sections, all but the last section, referred to above, being devoted to number theory. Er wird bewundert, aber nicht verstanden.
